Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Charlottesville, VA, including SSE children, volunteer at a local food pantry once a month, helping sort and shelf food supplies as well as maintain the cleanliness of the pantry.
Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Austin, TX, have been building vegetable gardens to help the Afghan refugee community become more food sufficient. Through their participation in tending to the garden and reaping the harvest, Afghan refugees are able to foster communal ties and make a meaningful contribution to their community.
In March 2022, about 25 volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of South Houston collaborated with the Hope Impacts organization in Katy, TX to serve the homeless by providing a hot meal to more than 70 people at the Crosspoint Community Church.
